USA Shaped Cutting Board by AHeirloom

(via letsbuildahome-fr:)

Isn’t this a bad metaphor, that you’re going to be slicing, cutting, and gouging out most of the middle of the country using this thing?

Yes, let’s.

Am I the only one utterly sick of seeing John McCain on every Sunday show?

Email from family

Chaos on Twitter, so decided to look in my email and noticed my grandmother has sent along something. Uh…

So, read on through this thing.

PROGRESSIVE  AUTO INSURANCE
You know their TV commercials, the ones featuring the ditsy actress all dressed in white. What you might not know is that the Chairman of Progressive is Peter Lewis, one of the major funders of leftist causes in America.

Oooooookkkay.

Between 2001 and 2003, Lewis funneled $15 million to the ACLU, the group most responsible for destroying what’s left of Americas Judeo-Christian heritage.

Destroying our Judeo-Christian heritage. Hell yeah, Obama can applaud that! (kidding, kidding)

His funding for these groups was conditional on matching contributions from George Soros, the America-hating socialist who is the chief financier of the Obama political machine.

K.

Lewis made a fortune as a result of capitalism, but now finances a progressive movement that threatens to destroy the American free enterprise system that is targeting television shows on Fox News.  Peter Lewis is making a fortune off conservative Americans (who buy his auto insurance) that he then applies to dismantle the very system that made him wealthy. He’s banking on no one finding out who he is, so STOP buying Progressive Insurance and pass this information on to all your friends.  Chairman  Lewis’ gift helps the ACLU promote their anti-Christmas agenda such as:

Whatever guys.

I’m sure this has purpose for somebody, but I’m rather fine with much of what the ACLU does. And I highly doubt Soros is anywhere as bad as you try to frame him to be.

Melissa Harris-Perry: Nothing is riskier than being poor in America [full video]

This is one of those interesting topics because I grew up not necessarily poor, but we weren’t exactly free flowing with money.

My mother managed low-income apartments for years and the variety of people there were everything from those that some want to scream about, to a mother of two who worked and simply didn’t have enough to afford a home without government assistance.

Safety nets have existed for a reason and still should.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy welcomes German Chancellor Angela Merkel before a tripartite summit France, Germany and Russia, on October 18, 2010 in Deauville. Photographer: Franck Fife/AFP via Getty Images\
I can’t help but think whoever composed this image didn’t think about what this position could be a metaphor for, or they did it on purpose because they weren’t a fan of what was going on in the EU. The point Bloomberg used this for their story is just troubling.
Not everyone’s mind is in the gutter, certainly, but how this manages to make it to a front page of a news site is beyond me.

Somehow I don’t think the economy outside of Wall St. is this severe, but I could be wrong.
