The media covering crime in general, and focusing in on selected stories, may be the most dangerous thing to actual justice in our country.
It perverts the point of even having a justice system if we’re going to just persecute people on the public square before they even have a court date. And if the issue if people’s trust of the justice system, well, we need to fix that, but acting like barbarians and making people un-returnable to society because we decide to make a zoo attraction out of them is a joke.

Came to mind tonight. I wanna go to bed, but alas, a midterm awaits me and I really want to (somehow) study and hadn’t got around to it.
The one big question though…
Who takes all of these photos? Who?
Are they part of photoshoots in some magazine I’ll never see. People who just set up cameras and take photos? I mean, then there’s the people too, willing to have these photos taken.
Maybe it’s just my stick-in-the-mud nature that doesn’t understand this.
